Whisk brooms are great for:

Cake Testers/ Pot and Vegetable Scrubbers

A traditional kitchen tool. Concise pieces of stiff broomcorn approximately 4-inches long wound together; these items are exactly as the name implies. I do not use any preservatives or dyes.

Cake testers: Break off a piece, and just like the old "toothpick trick," this tool offers a quick way to test if your baked goods are ready to come out of the oven. The natural broomcorn fiber hold moist dough or batter well, so you can clearly see if more cooking is needed. The bundle contains ~300 fiber "toothpicks" that snap off individually, each 3-4" – able to reach the middle of loaves and cakes. Throw away after use.

Pot & Vegetable Scrubbers: Eco-friendly, Keep clean up simple. It is perfect for getting stubborn stuck on food out of cast irons. It is not recommended that you use these for Teflon coated pans. They can also be used for other kitchen scrubbing, like vegetable cleaning.

If you want to sanitize the scrubbers, you can just dip them into boiling water for a few seconds. Make sure they are dry before storing away.
